AI-enabled systems in healthcare and human agency
An interdisciplinary project on what happens to a person's agency when AI enters clinical care.
This is a work in progress. I am establishing requirements for a study examining how AI might help doctors by responding to their workflows and how they actually use AI in practice.
The study also considers doctors’ affective states and temperament, exploring how AI might adapt its responses to be more useful and appropriate to their needs.
I helped develop the project’s initial concept and reached out to industry contacts to begin moving it forward. The collaboration grew from my summer visit to the University of Münster, hosted by Fumi Kurihara and connected through Tamara Roth.
